#WCA2024: 18th World Congress of Anaesthesiologists in Singapore

Last week, VirtualiSurg had the pleasure of attending the 18th WFSA World Congress of Anaesthesiologists #WCA2024 – held in person for the first time since 2016 – in the thriving metropolis that is Singapore. The international congress provided an intersection for representatives from over 130 countries, furthering education and collaboration across the spectrum of anaesthesiology, while promoting networking opportunities and advancements in science.
We particularly appreciated insights from Mr. Ye Kung Ong, Singapore Minister for Health, who highlighted that further investments in #medicaltechnology, which includes #AI and #immersive technologies, will be essential in maintaining global healthcare systems for an ageing population. This was confirmed by numerous scientific sessions and workshops over the course of the Congress, as experts gave first-hand experiences of the benefits of using #VR and #immersive technologies in Anaesthesiology and discussing what the sector will look like by the year 2040.
We are proud to be a part of this journey, paving the way towards a high-performing, efficient #Anaesthesiology sector with VirtualiSurg’s immersive training platform for #Anaesthesiologists and other medical specialties.
